| This last week has been totally nuts. Things have never been busier at Opt In Plus. Right now I'm working on a number of design projects including a full page ad that we are putting in Revenue Magazine I've been working on the finishing touches for our Extravagant Media website, and the never ending new Opt In Plus website project. It's really coming together but I didn't quite realize six months ago how huge this undertaking would really be.
News headlines this week.
Affiliate Summit was party central. There were only about 50 booths or something but there was an overwhelming sense of urgency in the air. The feeling was that consolidation is coming, changes in affiliate marketing are coming, and venture capital is here.
Adotas rolled out I just started getting their daily. It reminds me a bit of our original format with Online Marketers News. More or less its just a summary of headlines linked into a newsletter format that points to articles like Imedia does. How this will attract more advertisers than the former ADBumb format remains to be seen.
Digital Moses ran a nice article about the Affiliate Summit quoting Anne Holland of Marketing Sherpa, she said that affiliate marketing bounties and commissions will reach $6.5 billion in 2006, or roughly 40% of projected 2006 online advertising expenditures.
Salesforce.com confirms that it sustained a "minor interruption" of its customer relationship management service, but provides no details on whether it is related to last month's database bug.
