Week In Review 11.22.2005

It's a short week this week. Not everybody will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Some of us are
Canadian. After ten years online we're getting used to the American calandar finally.

I celebrated turning 29 on Friday but that didn't interfere with my daily routine of coffee and business calls, emailing, and working deals. Topping it all off I have a couple of interviews that I need to record.

Notable info that arrived in my mailbox this week..

  • Tia Fix over at Primary Ads sent out a note letting us know that this month's Wired magazine has a number of quotes from Ben Edelman who was sponsored by ThinkPartnership's Kowabunga! Technologies, PrimaryAds Inc., and Websourced subsidiaries at AD:Tech 2005. Good for them thats great PR but on a personal note I find Wired a bit snobbish and predictable in their writing bias. I haven't checked out the article but I'll make sure to take a peek the next time I'm at the newsstand. Good work on the press!
  • I'm testing out a service from InfoSearchMedia.com They provide high quality written content to help drive search engine optimization campaigns. Basically they offer 40 professionally written articles as the introduction package. Coupled with intelligent search engine optimization techniques it's touted as a great way to grab search engine spider attention. With 56000 articles online and a $16 monthly subscription fee per article it's easy to see that this is big business. I'm willing to risk a few hundred bucks to try it out. I'll keep you informed on how things go.
  • The double whammy.
Elizabeth Lloyd put out a really interesting article via Imedia Inc detailing global spam laws. She's such a clever writer. Click Here
  • Liz Lloyd again puts out an interesting article this time in Digital Moses
detailing her trip to Shanghai for AD:Tech Asia. Click Here
I couldn't help but post a comment in their blog.
  • ADBumb put out an advertisement for SEMPO
SEMPO is doing a search engine optimization survey. Click Here
  • Salesforce.com reported record revenue.
The company reports third-quarter revenues that are up 78 percent year-over-year, and has increased its customer base by 50 percent from the same quarter the previous year. I wish this would read CRM becomes usable.
